Butterfly Series I

Butterflies have always been a fascination of mine. I'm very patient when it comes to photographing butterflies. I silently wait for that perfect moment when the butterfly lands on the flower to capture it. People can't believe that I am able to get so close to the butterfly without it flying away.
Through My Eyes Photography
My Vision Statement:
I want to evoke emotion in my photographs…from joy to hope to sentimental memory. We live in a world that is so consumed with beauty. Yet through my eyes as a photographer, I want to dare others to see beauty in some of the most obscure and unusual places.... a house with peeling paint, an elderly wrinkled face, etc. The camera is such a wonderful communicator. It is a powerful tool that freezes moments in time. In capturing these images, I am reminded that in God's world, beauty is indeed everywhere and I have challenged myself to broaden my vision and definition of that world.
